About Us

My mother, Carol, and I have owned horses for over 20 years having truly found a love for Arabians with the purchase of a cranky, yet well-trained purebred gelding, Majah Sun Sultan. We were hooked.  Over the years, many purebred and half Arabians have graced our lives including a son of Gai Parada+++, a *Fortel grandson, a grandson of both *Bask++ and *Ansata Ibn Halima+, and an Al-Marah sired half Arabian mare. After years of researching and owning different bloodlines of Arabians, we decided to go with Egyptians. The mare that catapulted us into this love was a grey, Ansata/Babson bred mare named Ruala Aleetta, whom we purchased from Grove Hill Farm in Pittsfield, ME. She has since passed as a result of a tear during AI breeding, but her influence on our hearts has remained.

In the mid to late 90's, Kate was very involved in trail riding and showing her horses. Without the guidance or political connections of a professional trainer, Kate successfully competed at Region 16 shows in Hunter Under Saddle, Show Hack, Working Hunter, Showmanship and Country English Pleasure.  Although there weren't always blues, Kate and her horses managed to get the judges' attention time and time again and placed well in many large classes: open, amateur and junior, some of which were over 20 horses. In addition, since Kate was very young, she has been a trail rider at heart often going out for hours on end, exploring new trails, swimming in lakes, jumping downed trees, scaling sides of mountains and racing full out when possible.

Carol was always a supportive force behind all of Kate's ideas, shows, trips, trail rides and general equine fever. Carol drove the horses to all shows and often rescued Kate and her horse and dog, Niyah, up at the neighbor's house after hours and hours of trail riding that left Niyah too exhausted to run home.

Today we own a small herd of Egyptian Arabians. We intend infuse lines such as Sameh, Ibn Rabdan, *Sultann, Seef, *Ibn Hafiza, *Tuhotmos, and *Fadl with those more commonly bred Nazeer lines, such as *Morafic and *Khofo++, to create a horse a that is correct, of good bone, and trainable all while retaining the ethereal and exotic type of the Egyptian Arabian that is sought after by breeders around the world. We hope you enjoy our vision.
